A generous wrap that has a pretty waving lace pattern with garter wedges emerging from the lace like streams in the country side. Ava means life, the increasing lace pattern is like new flowers coming forth to life and the garter wedges are like stream flowing from the ground into life. The simple lace pattern combined with the Garter stitches makes this wrap a joy to knit. It is so fun to watch it grow as the lace and Garter stitches are added. Wingspan: 85”/216 cm; depth: 26”/66 cm
Materials:
Yarn: Anzula Serenity; 100% cashmere; 185 yds/169 m per 50g skein; color: 203 Keola, 4 skeins. 725 yds.
Needles: Size 3/3.25mm 24”/60cm (or longer) circular needle.
Other: Stitch markers and tapestry needle
Gauge: 26 sts and 32 rows = 4”/10 cm in Stockinette stitch. Gauge is not critical.

Notes:
This wrap is knit end to end, starting at the narrow point and increasing into a wavy triangular shape. It begins with the lace pattern only (written or charted), then Garter wedges are inserted one by one between the lace pattern repeats. The Garter wedges increase by two stitches each chart repeat. If desired the shawl may be made larger by adding more lace repeats and Garter stripes. Of course, more yarn will be required.
