I really enjoy designing sweaters with hints of gansey, using various stitchery to achieve an interesting and textured design.
This one uses leaf panels across the yoke, set against a reverse stocking stitch background with twist stitch verticals inbetween the panels.
The lower section has a rib effect eyelet pattern interspersed with twist stitches. The welt and top of the sleeves are in a wide rib and twist stitch.
It’s finished off with a very pretty neck line with a rouleau effect edging.
