Avalar Hat
Avalar Hat features a complex-looking, but simple ribbed cable pattern for a snug, warm fit. You can easily adjust the hem depth to suit yourself. There is a matching fingerless mitt pattern available.
Finished Size: 20(22, 24)” around, 8.5” tall (easily adjustable)
Yarn: Round Mountain Fibers Birch Fingering, 80% Merino/20% Nylon, 380 yards/100g. Sample (small size) used 35g/135 yards, knit in Pulpit Green.
Needles: Set of 5 double-pointed needles or 16” circular needles, size 3 US (3.25 mm), or size to obtain gauge
Gauge: 24 stitches/32 rows per 4” in blocked stockinette, knit in the round.
NOTE: the decreases in the pattern are slightly different than shown in the photos. This does not affect the visual outcome in any drastic way, but provides a slightly deeper crown.
