Introducing the Avery doll base. This crochet pattern is based on a chibi body figure and the head is approximately half the size of the body height. The pattern is worked continuously (spiral) from the head down.

The doll will need a wire through the neck in order to keep the head up, but wiring the arms and legs are optional. However, I do find it a lot easier to dress the doll if it is fully wired.

The PDF download includes the crochet instructions with step-by-step pictures for the doll base only. At a later date, I will be posting step-by-step tutorials on how to customise this Avery doll base into the various Disney Princesses. The tutorial will include a PDF download with the templates for the eyes and felt princess outfits. I will also be designing various outfits for the Avery doll – both crochet and material – which will be available at later dates in my Ravelry store.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
The finished height of the female doll in 4ply yarn with a 2.5mm hook is approximately 9.5 inches.
