About the hat

The Avery beanie hat pattern is an intermediate pattern and is remarkable due to the different textures and colours. The pattern includes a variety of stitches which make an interesting project where you can be creative and try different colour combinations or use just one colour for a different look.

The pattern is written is US terms in English and is worked from the bottom up, starting with the brim.

Sizes

The pattern comes in four sizes to fit head circumference as follows:

Child 17”
Tween 19”
Small Adult 21”
Large Adult 23”

Yarn Requirements
I used Stylecraft Special DK yarn. Amount of yarn required depends on your colour choices and yarn used. As guidance my small adult hat used approximately 70g of Stylecraft Special DK.

Suggested Hook Size

Suggested hook for gauge is 4mm. For a tighter brim or looser slouch beanie go up or down a size as necessary.
