Avery Polo
This is a written crochet pattern for the Avery Crochet Polo, AKA the Crolo! A very fun, lightweight garment, perfect for Spring or Summer. The PDF includes detailed instructions and pictures to recreate the pictured example, as well as note for how and where to make adjustments to alter the size. Perfect for any person who wants to take their collared shirt game to a whole new level.
Written in US terms.
Model is 5’6” and pictured example is a size Small/Medium (20” L x 24” W). Notes are made within the pattern to make size adjustment possible. Please note that you may need more yarn if you choose to make your top larger than the example.
Materials used:
~1000 yds of lightweight/DK (#3) bamboo blend yarn (I used Yarn Bee Bamboo-Tiful in Sea Green)
5mm hook (or larger if you have very tight tension)
5 buttons (11mm diameter)
Scissors
Tapestry needle
Stitch markers
Skill level:
This pattern is best suited for someone with at least a moderate skill level and/or experience crocheting garments. You will need to have good control of your tension and understanding of basic shaping.
Stitches you will need to know:
SC
DC
SL ST
Closed Shell Stitch – this is the main stitch used in the pattern, but it is easy to learn and is explained fully in the text (with pictures).
You are welcome to sell your finished product, I only ask that you credit me as the designer. I also look forward to seeing your creations via social media (tag me @finleyclad on Instagram using hashtag #averycrolo).
