Avery Tapestry
Are you a dog lover?
You can place this tapestry in the room of your house that you want; if you are a dog lover you will love to have a tapestry like this!
Moreover, you can customize it with the colors you want.
To crochet this tapestry you only need to know how to knit single crochet.
The pattern teaches you how to knit in the tapestry technique.
How to crochet Tapestry technique:
Start using the main color (C1) and the C2 needed in the row you are going to crochet.
Crochet with yarn C1 in the usual way but at the same time over C2. Hold C2 with your left hand (if you are right-handed) together with crocheted piece, so that it’s easier for you to insert the hook.
The color is always changed when you still have 2 loops on the hook. So you will do it on the last yarn over (to finish last stitch in previous color). Now, after color is changed, place yarn C1 on the top of crocheted piece and continue to crochet with C2 over it.
The rest of the colors are crocheted in the same way.
Don’t crochet loose to avoid the other color strands from being visible.
The size of the hook in indicative, you can change hook to a smaller (or larger) one until you are satisfied with the look of your tapestry fabric.
You have to follow the diagram below by crocheting in sc with the Tapestry technique.
Keep in mind that each square represents 1 stitch, so you will start knitting from the right and you will alternate the beginning of the rows: 1 row will start from the right (right side) and the next one from the left (wrong side). Don’t cut the strand yet because you will add the wall hanging tube later.
You will also find instructions for:
- Bow
- Flowers
- Tassels
- Wall hanging tube
