4ply/fingering: 26 sts and 32 rows in stocking st
DK/sport: 21sts and 28 rows in stocking st

Getting gauge isn’t vital for this pattern but it will affect the amount of yarn you use,

4ply/fingering: 3.25mm/US3
DK/sport: 4mm/US6

Or size needed to get gauge. You will need a 60cm/24in circular needle for the S and M size cowls. You will need a 100cm/40in needle for the infinity scarf size.
