The “Aviete” girls’ top is worked from the bottom up to the armhole in one piece in the round. At armhole level, work is divided, and front and back are continued separately; shoulders are joined using the three-needle bind-off method at the end.

You will need:
– yarn SIŪLAS Lithuanian Linen 3 ply (100% linen; 100 g – 600 m [3.5 oz – 656 yds]) – yarn held double;
– knitting needles 2.75 and 2.5 mm [US2 and US1.5]
or other size to obtain gauge;
– stitch markers;
– stitch holder or piece of auxiliary yarn, tapestry needle;
– auxiliary needle.

Gauge:
22 sts and 36 rows/rounds = 10x10 cm [4x4 in], in stockinette stitch, using 2.75 mm [US2] needles, after blocking and slightly stretched.
