A classic baby blanket design with seed stitch details highlighting stockinette blocks and a matching hat featuring a seed stitch border.
The Aviv blanket and hat were knit with the luscious Chelsea Luxe Chunky. It is exceptional soft and luxurious for a hand dyed superwash merino. I started the blanket just as Spring was taking hold in upstate New York where we were still getting snow well into early May. I named it Aviv, the Hebrew word for spring, because I loved the name and the meaning of new beginnings for a design to welcome a new baby.

I used a little more than four skeins for the blanket and an additional appoximately 50 yards for the baby hat which will fit newborn thru 12 months.
