Avon Ripple Socks
Until the end of June 2019, when you buy this pattern you can get my Spiralizer Socks pattern free! Just add them both to your cart and the discount will be automatically applied.
These socks were designed for the Knit-Tea Retreat in Stratford-upon-Avon in June 2019. They are designed to use 20g miniskeins in five colours, although I think they would be perfect for using up the leftovers from previous sock projects. I wanted to create a stripy sock which was interesting both to knit and to look at. I have named them Avon Ripple socks because the pattern makes me think of the waves you see on a river, and the Avon river runs right by the Knit-Tea Retreat venue in Stratford.
Materials
• 5 x 20g of any Owl About Yarn fingering/4ply yarn which is suitable for socks (100g = 400-425 metres, 437-465 yards).
• 2.25mm/US 1 (or size with which you achieve the correct gauge) double pointed needles, or long circular needle for knitting the magic loop method.
• Three stitch markers; I’d recommend a moveable stitch marker or progress keeper for marking the start of the rnd.
