This sweet little cross over top is worked in one piece from the bottom up with a simple pattern on front and back, adding a special touch. As this top is worked in a thicker yarn it knits up quickly, making it a great last minute ‘Baby Shower’ gift, designed to ensure simple and fuss free dressing. Once complete simply sew up the side seams, attach your button and press stud, and it’s done! Also a great wrap around for a toddler and pre-schooler. Pattern comes with schematic.
Pattern has been test knitted and technical edited.

APPROXIMATE AGE— 0-6m -- 6-12m -- 2 yrs -- 3 yrs -- 4 yrs -- 6 yrs

MATERIALS REQUIRED --- #4 Medium 10ply, Worsted weight.
One pair 5mm (US 8 : UK 6) circular needles, or extra long straight needles.

For closure inside cross over jacket you will need a Press Stud / or Hook and Eye.
Alternatively you could sew in some ribbon for ties.

6-12 months -- 200 grams - 360 m / 394 yds
2 years -- 225 grams - 405 m / 444 yds
3 years -- 230 grams – 414 m / 454 yds
4 years -- 255 grams – 459 m / 503 yds
6 years -- 280 grams – 504 m / 552 yds.

TENSION / GAUGE
18 stitches x 26 rows = 10cm (4in) worked in pattern on 5mm (US 8 : UK 6) needles.
