Awa Shorts
The pattern is knit in the round on circular needles as follows: First the waistband is knit in stockinette stitch. The waistband is folded over and knit together to make a channel for you to add elastic into. The main body of the shorts is knit in 2x2 broken rib. German short rows are knit on the back of the shorts for a better fit. Increases are made on the front and back of the shorts to fit your hips. You will then divide the stitches and work on each leg separately.

SIZE GUIDE:
The pattern is designed with 8-10 cm of ease around the hips meaning that it is designed To have an oversized fit that is approximately 8-10 cm larger than your hip circumference. If you find that you want the shorts to have a tighter fit you can size down. If you find that your waist and hip measurements do not match up to a specific size, I recommend picking the size that best fits your waist and you can add more/less increases to fit your hips.
YARN:
8ply(DK) weight yarn - 50g = 100m
I used a DK weight cotton yarn but you can use any fiber as long as you meet gauge.
You will need approximately 200, (200, 200, 250, 300, 300, 300), (300, 350, 400, 400, 450, 450) grams of DK weight yarn
Note this recommendation will change depending on the length of the shorts that you are going to make, this is just an estimate based on an average length.
