The Awakenings Shawl
This shawl is my transition piece into spring when the weather is too warm for my winter parka, but still too cool for a sweater alone.
The main features of this pattern are the rows and rows of Forked Cluster stitches. I love working with this stitch. It is both fun to do and lovely to look at. I discovered that when one row of Forked Clusters is stacked directly on top of another, it creates a unique look that is both lacy and textured.
Finished Sizes:
Instructions given to make a 78” W x 28 ½” H shawl (after blocking) with added notes for making a larger shawl.
Materials:
I used Premier Yarns Cotton Fair, which is a 52% Cotton/48% Acrylic, #2 Fine weight yarn.
Any yarn of similar weight would work.
Approximately 1225 yds.
4.5mm Hook
Stitch Markers
Yarn Needle
Scissors
Measuring Tape
This pattern has been tested by a number of experienced crocheters and I have provided many pictures within the pattern to help you along the way. If you run into trouble you are free to message me for help.
