Awareness Ribbon Baby Blanket
What we’ve endured can define who we are, and what we’ve overcome. Express your strength with this Awareness Ribbon blanket: available in 3 sizes - baby, toddler, and small lapghan.
The panel of this pattern can be mixed and matched with ANY of my other BABY BLANKET patterns!
-------
Materials: 4.5mm, 5mm, 5.5mm hook (depending on intended blanket size), 1000-1300yds of yarn, tapestry needle for sewing ends, (optional) stitch markers for counting, scissors
Stitches used: (US Terminology) chain, single crochet, double crochet, half double crochet
Gauge: Gauge is not particularly important to this pattern. If you are a tight crocheter, go up at least 1 hook size in order to achieve the flexibility of a snuggly blanket.
-------
Numerical Filet Explained:
• Numerical filet is a system of numbers and commas, where numbers are the amount of double crochet stitches, and commas represent “chain 1, skip 1 stitch”
• Do not make a “chain 1, skip 1 stitch” unless you see a comma
• Example:
o Row reads: 32 , 55 , 3 , 14 , 43
o Translation: place 32 double crochet stitches, then chain 1 and skip 1 space, then place 55 stitches, then chain 1 and skip 1 space, then place 3 double crochet stitches, chain 1 skip 1 space, place 14 double crochet stitches, chain 1 skip 1 space, place 43 double crochet stitches
