Axina-hat is worked in the round from the brim up. The brim is shaped with short rows but instructions are given also for straight brim.

Brim finished circumference non stretched 35.5, 38, 40.5 cm/ 14, 15, 16 inches.

Body finished circumference 43, 47, 52 cm/ 17, 18.5, 20.5 inches.

Height approximately 23 cm/ 9 inches.

Yarn

100 g of DK or worsted weight yarn, app. 210-229 m (230-250 yds) per 100 g. The sample (size M) was knitted with madelinetosh DK Twist in colourway Scout (100% Merino, 229 m/ 250 yds per 100 g) and used approximately 70 g.

3.75 mm/ US 5 and 4.50 mm/ US 7 (80 cm/ 32 inches or longer for magic loop) circular needle, or set of DPNs or size to obtain gauge
markers, tapestry needle for weaving in ends
