Axinite Hat
Hats are great projects for learning new techniques, and the Axinite Hat is no exception. Practice simple lace knitting, crown shaping, and working a small circumference in the round as you complete this perfect warm-weather accessory.
Difficulty Easy
Yarn Weight 3
Finished Size 17 ½ (19 ¼, 20 ¾)“ circumference and 7 (7 ¾, 8 ½)” tall. Hat shown measures 20 ¾“.
Yarn Green Mountain Spinnery Cotton Comfort (80% fine wool, 20% organic cotton; 180 yd 165 m/2 oz 57 g): #9054 Silver, 1 ball.
Needles Sizes 5 (3.75 mm) and 7 (4.5 mm): 16” circular (cir). Size 7 (4.5 mm): set of double-pointed (dpn). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions Marker (m); tapestry needle.
Gauge 20 sts and 36 rnds = 4” in Lacy Ridge patt on larger needle.
