With this pattern you’ll be able to create your own crochet Axolotl mascot! It measures around 26 cm, but the size will depend on the yarn and the hook size used. This pattern is for beginner to intermediate crocheters.

For finishing this pattern you will need:

Materials
yarn – I used Himalaya Everyday Yarn in 3 colours (gray, white, and orange) + additional light pink yarn for blush (optional), but you can use any medium/4 thickness type yarn,
2.5 mm crochet hook
16 mm safety eyes
stuffing
a bigger crochet hook or pencil for stuffing
scissors, 2 stitch markers, tapestry needle

Stitches you need to know
st – stitch
ml – magic loop
sl – slip stitch
sc – single crochet
ch – chain a loop
dc – double crochet
hdc – half double crochet
dec – decrease – crochet 2 st together
inc – increase – crochet 2 sc into one loop
fasten off – cut the yarn and pull it through your last loop
2sc, inc - repeat until further instructions
