This is a pdf knitting pattern, written in English, using standard US terminology, for you to knit a DK weight Ayden Baby Bonnet photo prop in sizes preemie to one year (plus instructions for your 18” doll, as well).

This bonnet offers beautiful texture around its brim which photographs wonderfully. And, while the stitch looks intricate, it really isn’t: just a simple, two row repeat that even a beginner can manage.

I believe it works beautifully for both boys and girls.
Please always remember to use this prop with supervision.

Also, this is a fabulous addition to your favourite 18” doll’s wardrobe and would be a gift anyone who enjoys dolls would love.

SIZES: Preemie, 18” Doll, Newborn, 0-3 months, 3-6 months, 6-12 months

This pattern is well-suited to a beginner to intermediate knitter as it is knit flat, then seamed.

It requires DK weight yarn on 4mm (US6) needles (yardage included in pattern). You will need to know how to cast on and off, knit, purl, yarn over, pass a stitch over, and knit two stitches together.

MY GAUGE: 22 sts + 28 rows = 10x10 cms / 4”X4”
