This cowl pattern is ideal for those beginner knitters that want to try cables. The simplicity of the cables and the quantity of them throughout the cowl, makes it a perfect opportunity to practice this technique.

The pattern is written in US standard terms and includes 3 different sizes. It is recommended for beginner knitters.

SUGGESTED YARN:
Bulky weight yarn (5) like Malabrigo Chunky, DHG Piuma, Patons Rumor or any other yarn that meets gauge.

YARDAGE:
Small/child: approximately 65 yards
Medium: approximately 90 yards
Large: approximately 100 yards

NOTIONS:
8 mm/US11, 41 cm/16” circular knitting needles
Cable needle
Scissors
Darning needle

SUGGESTED GAUGE:
6 stitches x 8 rows in 2” stockinette rib with 8 mm/US11 needles.
