This stunning version was done by Gail Karamalegos. She used Red Heart black, and cocoa and scuba ombres.
(she expanded section in middle with little wavy lines and repeated the pyramid rows, which looks
great!)

Aztek
This is an overlay mosaic crochet pattern with basic SC and DC stitches (no special stitches). Pattern includes suggested pattern repeats for blanket, decorative hanging, and pillow--but one could easily mix and match as one pleases.
The designs are inspired from designs found in Aztec architecture, pottery, and fabrics.
Any weight yarn can be used, but reccommend 3/DK/sport weight or 4/worsted weight. 4mm or 5mm hooks respectively, though that may depend on your personal tension.
Happy hooking!
