It is important to actually measure your child’s head and not only rely on the age labelling. Additionally, you might want to pick a size that is slightly smaller than actual head size (0.5-1” smaller is fine) for a perfect fit.

• 80 (90, 100, 125, 140, 175, 200) yards of worsted weight yarn or any other yarn that gives gauge
• 16’’ circular needle US # 6 (4 mm) or any size required to obtain gauge
• Double pointed needles US # 6 (4 mm) or same size as circular needle used.
