Babbling Brook is made top down in one piece with an invisible seam. The yoke has an extended back so that this round yoke design has a better fit, a bit higher at the back than at the front. It is designed to have some ease on the bust and has no waist shaping. In this design I use center SC and some variations on this stitch. I expect that you already know how to make a center SC and a center HDC, all other variations will be explained. Other names for center SC are waistcoat stitch and knit stitch. The pattern has a written description with pictures and links to video tutorials to help make things clear.

This pattern also includes a section on how to personalize the sweater to your specific measurements and desired fit.

Babbling Brook wordt van boven naar beneden gehaakt aan een stuk met een onzichtbare naad. De pas heeft een verlengde achterkant waardoor deze ronde pas een beter pasvorm heeft, een beetje hoger aan de achterkant dan aan de voorkant. Hij is ontworpen om een iets wat losse pasvorm te hebben en heeft geen taillering. In dit ontwerp maak ik veel gebruik van de breisteek en variaties hierop. Ik verwacht dat je al weet hoe je een breisteek met vasten en HST maakt, de variaties worden uitgelegd d.m.v. foto’s en video. Andere namen voor breisteek zijn; diep ingestoken vaste.
