This baby blanket is made from 9 different stitch pattern blocks.The pattern offers 2 different cast on amounts to help vary the size of the blanket. The smaller cast on was used for this bulky blanket so that 2 squares could be made from each skein, using 4 1/2 skeins for the blanket. I used the second half of one of the skeins to crochet a border, but it is not necessary as the blanket has garter stitch borders all around. The larger cast on amount works with the Manos del Uruguay afghan patterns Sherwood and Four Seasons for additional blocks. All blocks are charted and written out. Many of the blocks are reversible and could be used for scarves.
