Babette is Dolly Delight’s second One Of A Kind doll. Together with Madeline they are the two dolls that differ significantly from all my other dolls.
Just like Madeline, Babette has shapes and stitches not used in any other dolls and she is put together in a very particular way. And just like Madeline she is a fully dress-able doll.
But what is different about Babette is her hairstyle. For the first time I am using hair wefts. I am inviting you to try this new way of making hairstyles for your knitted doll.

About Babette:

• she is about 43cm/17’’ tall and is a sitting down doll, she will stand with the help of a doll stand;
• all her clothing is removable;
• her Outfit consists of: intergrated underwear, dress, socks, boots and fabric underskirt;
• there are 2 colorways for the outfit suggested with 2 types of sewn underskirts to choose from: tulle or net
• hairstyle is made with doll hair wefts;

Materials needed:

• you will need double knitting weight yarn for the body and clothes and sock weight yarn for socks;
• for the hairstyle I used synthetic doll hair wefts but instructions for alternative, traditional yarn hairstyle is included in the pattern;
• detailed listing of all other materials is in the pattern;

Skills needed:
Knowledge of all basic stitches, increases, decreases (including Invisible Increase L and R), German Short Rows, grafting/Kitchener Stitch, some basic crochet skills.
