This bandana-style beanie with a three-part construction is worked flat in a textured rib with a button closure, allowing you to wear it multiple ways. Button it at the back and tuck the point for a snug beanie style with a playful “cat ears” effect, or drape it across your head to bring the allure of a kerchief in the cold. Wearing it around your hair and under your chin is very Hepburn for winter.

This bandana beanie is worked flat in rows from a ribbed brim to the triangular point. To ensure a snug fit, short rows are used to form the body, which consists of two quarters of a circle that overlap one another. Then, side decreases and a neat, continuous slip stitch edge are worked over central stitches to shape the triangle. An I-cord edge can be added to trim the curved line if desired.
