Babushkas
by Laura Long
From the pattern description:
The babushkas are fully lined on the inside to give them some stability and to allow you to stack them inside each other, just like real Russian dolls. Each doll is decorated with different styles of flower; you can cut out pieces of felt for the flowers or embroider them.
The colourwork on the babushkas is done using intarsia, which you might need to practise.
Pattern calls for one skein of each of these colors: yellow, pink, white, and red.
Additional materials needed:
- Scrap amounts (<1/4 yd) of coordinating T-shirt material
- Brown yarn for embroidery of face, hair and other details
