Baby & Bath-Time Accessories Set
This pattern is 12 pages long and includes the instructions for the baby, as well as a baby bath with removable water, a sponge, a toy duck, a baby bath seat, a bottle of soap, a hooded towel and a sling baby carrier. The sling is designed to fit my ‘Birthing Mother’ design doll, but (as shown in the photos) it will also work on a barbie sized doll if you aren’t making the mother doll.
Please note - the baby is the same design as the baby that is included with my ‘Birthing Mother & Baby’ pattern. The baby and bath-time accessories can therefore be made as a separate project, or as an extension to the original design.
The pattern contains loads of photos to help you every step of the way and it is written in American crochet terms.
You will need:
Yarn of your choice. Yarn weight doesn’t really matter - the size of your project will simply turn out bigger or smaller! I used Patons Smoothie DK Yarn (this is quite a thick DK yarn so it is equivalent to aran or light worsted weight in other brands) and my finished baby measures approx 7cm tall (in a seated position).
You will need the following colours:
Your choice of skin tone.
White for the bath, pale blue for the water, yellow for the sponge and toy duck.
Your choice of colour for the hooded towel, soap bottle, bath seat & sling.
A suitable size hook for the yarn you have chosen - I used a 4mm hook.
Toy stuffing.
Black finer yarn or embroidery thread for adding the baby’s eyes, and a suitable colour for adding the smile.
Orange thread or finer yarn for adding the duck’s beak.
Other tools you will need are a tapestry needle, some scissors and a few stitch markers.
You are welcome to sell the items that you make using this pattern, but please do not sell / share the pattern itself. Feel free to contact me with any questions as I am more than happy to help. Thank you.
