Baby Aran Afghan
One of the top 10 finalists in Debbie Bliss’ Baby Blanket Contest, this pattern would make a wonderful heirloom and is perfect for a christening or baptism. The blanket has many different stitches -- perfect for those who get bored with stockinette stitch (or worse yet - - garter stitch!).
The centerpiece of the pattern is the Embossed Heart. When designing the blanket, I chose it first, then incorporated my love of seed stitch and reversed cables. The dot knot stitch resembles a bobble, but is much smaller so as not to end up being chewed by a baby.
Pattern requires 1000 yards of worsted weight yarn, #7 circular needles (or size to obtain 18 sts in 4” in stockinette stitch) and stitch markers.
Since a lot of love went into designing this pattern, it is for personal use only. Please do not copy it, sell it or sell products made from it. Thank you.
