This pattern was developed by Ashley Sanders aka Chroniccraftywitch. This is a beginner/ intermediate level pattern. When made with worsted weight yarn, this bat is about 6 inches tall. Written in US terminology.

A quick and easy project, this baby bat is a fun make.
This pattern can be made with any yarn and an appropriate hook. I’ve used a 3.5 hook with worsted weight and a 2.25 with sock yarn. The photos included in the pattern show the sock yarn option.

Gauge will vary based on hook and yarn used. As long as your stitches are tight and you don’t have gaps, you are good to go.

This is a great scrap buster project as it uses a small amount of yarn. Small skeins will give you several bats.
