If you are using the Lion’s Brand yarn, be prepared that sewing the two thick fabrics together can be a challenge for those unfamiliar with the sewing machine. I have hand stitched a blanket together and enjoyed the work nearly as much as knitting. Inexperienced sewers may want to consider this option.

The end product is well worth the work! It makes a super cozy and lovely blanket. I have given several as gifts, and they are well used.
