Baby Bubble Blanket

This is a great blanket with a fun texture for your little one to discover. I found that this knit up fairly quickly and easily. I had a bit of a hard time with the “4 below” stitch because you must purposely drop a stitch which I’ve never done before. It took me a little time to get used to dropping a stitch, but it is quite easy once you get used to it.

The Joy DK yarn was something I stumbled over while I was at Michaels and I loved the feel of it. I’m very picky when it comes to feel, especially when it comes to knitting baby items. Nobody wants to knit something that will be scratchy on your little one. I also like to look for synthetic fibers for baby knits simply because it’s easier for moms to wash.

Feather and Fan Baby Blanket

This is a great pattern for a beginner knitter. It has a wonderful lace quality without needing a crazy pattern that you constantly have to keep going back to. This is also a pattern that you can easily memorize so it’s a perfect project to bring with you when you’re out and about!

Level of Difficulty: Beginner (this is what my grandma would consider her “easy” knitting, the one she would use when she wanted to knit without having to pay close attention to the pattern, she would lovingly call this her “idiot knitting”.

Zig Zag Baby Blanket

This is a fun and easy knitting pattern. If you’re a beginner knitter looking for a good project, this is it! The great thing about this pattern is the blanket is reversible! Normally you have a right side and a wrong side, but this looks great on both sides.
