This baby blanket is worked in overlay crochet technique.

Overlay Crochet is deeply rooted in cable and Aran crochet. It creates effects that can only with difficulty be made with traditional techniques. You have symmetrical patterns overlaid with different floral, linear or geometrical patterns as you may find on traditional mosaics, tiles or even mandalas.

Measurements: The individual granny square of the blanket has a size of approximately 4.5”x 4.5”/11.5 x 11.5 cm.
The blanket itself measures approximately 41.7”x 32.7”/106 x 83 cm

For the blanket I used DK, light worsted weight yarn and the hook US 6/4 mm

The pattern is featured with detailed instructions. Each round of the project will be explained through a written instruction and one or more pictures (17 pages).
The pattern contain comprehensive informations on supplies, abbreviation keys, stitch dictionary, stitch count and extra notes to help explain the process.

The pattern uses US crochet terms.
