A hand knitted baby blanket is one of the best baby shower gifts a knitter could give!
This baby blanket is available in 2 sizes: 75 x 100 cm (30 x 40 inch) and 75 x 80 cm (30 x 32 inch).
This knitting pattern is available in English and in Dutch!

It consists of alternating strips of double moss stitch and strips with 4 stars made by knitting bobbles.
Size 75 x 100 cm / 30 x 40 inch has 4 rows of 4 stars.
Size 75 x 80 cm / 30 x 32 inch has 3 rows of 4 stars.

Level: intermediate (the stitches are easy except for the bobble stitch; if you have never knitted this bobble stitch, I recommend practicing the bobble before starting the blanket, because it is important that this bobble is knitted as tightly as possible for the best result.)

Materials:

• Circular knitting needles with a length of 80 cm size 6 (US) / 8 (UK) = 4 mm
• Yarn with yarn weight DK / Light worsted (e.g. Rowan Cotton Cashmere – color 221 Morning Sky) - For size: 75 x 80 cm /30 x 32 inch: 350 grams = 875 meters / 960 yards (7 skeins Rowan Cotton Cashmere) - For size: 75 x 100 cm / 30 x 40 inch: 425 grams = 1063 meters / 1163 yards (9 skeins Rowan Cotton Cashmere)

Gauge = 22 stitches x 30 rows = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4 inch with knitting needle size 6 (US) / 8 (UK) = 4 mm in stockinette stitch (knit on right side, purl on wrong side)

This blanket is knitted flat from bottom to top including the edge.
