The finished baby opossums, when worked in 4ply yarn, will measure approximately 1.5” (3cm) nose to bum with a 1.5” (3cm) tail. This will of course vary with weights of yarn and hook/tension. For a larger baby Opossum work in double knit, aran or chunky. It will also work in plush.

This pattern is really easy to follow but does require basic crochet knowledge of crochet, and the ability to work a magic ring. Everything is easily learnt from Youtube if you are not 100% sure. It is written in US terms but easily converted to UK terms. There are full instructions of how to make the babies and a free guide on how to crochet for beginners.
