This adorable little rattle is a quick and easy pattern, to make a great gift for a new baby. Every new mom will like a handmade version of the popular blue tang fish, with a nice rattle for their baby.

Materials Needed:
Worsted Weight Yarn #4-- Yarn pictured is:
Lion Brand Vanna’s Choice (100% Acrylic; 170 yards/3.5 oz) in colors:
Colonial Blue (approx 25 yards),
Black (approx 15 yards), and
Duckie (approx 5 yards)
Size E/3.5 mm Crochet Hook
Rattle Insert (1.5” diameter X 7/16” or smaller)
Tapestry Needle
Scissors
Poly-Fill stuffing
Stitch Marker

I recommend buying a rattle insert that meets all CPSIA standards for safety and is washable.

Gauge: Not essential.
With ‘E” hook, you just want your stitches tight enough, so that the stuffing doesn’t show through.
