I wanted to make a warm, cute, and unique hat for my new nephew. I came up with this hat pattern and had success selling them at a local market. Children would come up to my booth and reach for the fun, colourful bobbles. This inspired me to write my first pattern to share on Ravelry.

I give three options for sizes, a small, medium and large option. My nephew is wearing the medium size at 6 months and it has a little room for him to grow into. If these options do not fit the size you need, I give suggestions on how to place the bobbles evenly around the hat for other sizes. This pattern should be easy to manipulate into the size you need.

My gauge is fairly relaxed. This is a super quick knit. The bobbles are fun to make and easy once you get the hang of it. I give instructions on how to make them, but suggest a video tutorial if you require a visual.

This pattern also includes a tutorial with photos on how to make a tassel.

I encourage using whatever colour combinations you like. It is easy to make this hat for baby boys or girls. I used scraps of Loops and Threads Cozy Wool for the bobbles and tassels.
