US crochet stitches.

You can make these booties in light-worsted (DK) weight yarn, choosing colours you love.

These crochet booties have a strap over the foot and a lovely flower with leaves. An optional pearl bead finishes off the look.

There are 2 sizes: 10cm and 8.5cm soles.
For most newborns to approx 12mths.

I used a beautiful Australian yarn called Heirloom 8 ply. To make a pair of booties you will need one ball of pink and one in green. The booties are worked in one piece. The flowers and leaves are made separately and then handsewn in place on the strap. The strap is either sewn closed or you can add a snap or velcro closure. Because the flower and leaves are made separately you can make more for cute hair clips or hat embellishments.
