I developed this simple, reversible knit-and-purl pattern after a similar Weldon pattern didn’t work out. (Weldon’s engraving looked a lot better than the actual pattern.)
My pattern has a 6-stitch, 4-row repeat. The swatch is 6 inches wide and 4.75 inches long at gauge.

Skills needed: cast on, knit, purl and bind off in knit stitch.

Gauge is not important in this pattern. Any block-able yarn/thread will work. Make a swatch to check gauge and appearance.

66 yards of Lion brand 24/7 yarn will make 10 inches of a 32-stitch-wide strip in the stated gauge.
