Baby Capulet
“What’s in a name? That which we call a rose. By any other word would smell as sweet.” - William Shakespeare
After releasing my Juliet pattern, I couldn’t stop thinking about matching ‘mommy & me’ type of sets. And I think this pattern is the perfect thing to sport together!
Baby Capulet is a simple, lacy headband designed in companion with Juliet. Its simplistic lace and easy to memorize repeat is a great “just one more row” project - and it looks so cute on any baby!
Finished Measurements: 15” (16”) circumference x 4.5” (4.5”) width (will fit 18-20” head)
Yarn: 90-115 yards of Glenheavenknits Extra Fine Merino Wool Sport Weight in the Marble Bar colorway
Needles: US size 5 / 3.75 mm 24” circular needles
Note: Pattern is knit flat. You may wish to use straight needles or short DPN’s. Whatever works for you!
Gauge: 40 sts x 16 rows = 4” in lace repeat
Note: Gauge isn’t crucial - as long as you knit it to the right length for your baby’s head, this headband will work for you!
Additional Supplies: Stitch makers (optional), tapestry needle, scissors, blocking mats + blocking pins
Pattern is very beginner friendly. The lace is simple and easy to follow - not to mention incredibly easy to memorize!
