This simple stripe baby cardigan knitting pattern is a classic design and the perfect ‘go-to cardigan’ for mums. Choose your colours and stripe this cardigan for a baby girl or boy.

Instructions for the following sizes:
0-4 months, 4-8 months, 8-12 months, 1-2 years

This baby cardigan is worked flat and seamed on a pair of single pointed 3.25mm (US3) and 4mm (US6) needles.

Choose any two colours in any DK (US light worsted) yarn that knits to the tension listed below. The hand knit cardigan shown here is knitted in DK 100% cotton.

The ribbed button band with moss stitch collar frame this cardigan perfectly when worked the darker of the two colours used.
