This cardigan pair was designed for the #6168 Sublime Baby Cashmere Merino Silk DK brochure by Sirdar. Full of texture like a gansey, the simple moss stitch hem border is followed by a textured “tree” knitted repeatedly around the lower body as one piece to the armholes. The upper and lower sections are separated with a textured band of stitching around the garment. After the fronts and back are knitted, the sleeves are worked in matching stitch patterns before all the pieces are seamed together.

TENSION

• 22 stitches by 28 rows of 10cm/4in (sq) in stocking stitch AND
• 21 stitches by 39 rows of 10cm/4in (sq) in moss (seed) stitch on 4mm needles or the size required to give correct tension.
