Crochet level:

• Stockinette stitch, flat and in rounds on circular needles and cable needles.

• Increases and decreases (explained in step-by-step).

• Single crochet (to finish ears).

This pattern includes:

• Step-by-step pictures with written instructions.

• Instructions are given in English language, American terminology.

Needles:

• 4 mm / 17’’ (43 cm) or size to obtain gauge circular needles for sizes 48-50, 52-54, 56-58.

Crochet hook:

• E-4 / 3.5 mm

Recommended materials:

• 80 (85, 90, 95, 100, 105) g / 180 (190, 200, 210, 220, 235) yards of Knit Picks Swish Worsted yarn (100% Superwash Merino Wool, worsted weight, 110 yards / 50g) in Camel Heather color and 15 - 20 g / 35 - 45 yards in Bare color or other DK / #3 / Light weight yarn in matching colors. Note: Knit Picks Swish Worsted yarn should be considered DK / #3 / Light weight yarn, not Worsted / #4, as labeled.

• 2 stitch markers, tapestry needle, pins.

Sizes:

• 0 - 2 months (3 months, 6 - 9 months, 1 - 3 years, 4 - 8 years, teen - adult) / 36 - 38 (40 - 42, 44 - 46, 48 - 50, 52 - 54, 56 - 58) cm / 14 1/8 - 15 (15 ¾ - 16 ½, 17 ¼ - 18, 18 7/8 - 19 5/8, 20 ½ - 21 ¼, 22 - 22 ¾)’’ head circumference, later in the pattern sizes 36-38 (40-42, 44-46, 48-50, 52-54, 56-58).

Gauge:

• 22 sts and 33 rows = 10 cm over St st.
