You want to crochet doll clothes that are easy to put on and take off? Doll clothes that are not off the rack and everyone has? You want to make a doll for your granddaughter yourself because you don’t want the unfeeling plastic stuff. Besides, the crocheted doll can also be washed and repaired in case of need.
SIZE
The finished doll Georgia is about 14 inch tall depending on how tight or loose you crochet.
MATERIAL - What do I need?
• Crochet hook in size B/1 (2,25 mm) for the doll and G/6 (4 mm) for the clothes
• Wool:
for the doll: Schachenmayr Suavel (367 yds ~ 1.75 oz) – 2 ply/Lace
in pink (1035) - 1.25 balls
for the clothes: Schachenmayr Bravo Baby Smiles (202 yds ~ 1.75 oz) – Sport/5 ply/Fine
white (1001) - 1 ball
gray (1090) - 0,5 ball
mint color (0188) - 1,5 skein
• buttons
• embroidery thread for the eyes or safety eyes 0.4 inch
• elastic band
• possibly textile paint or wax crayon for blush and accents
MANUFACTURE
You should be proficient in the following types of stitches:
• Slip stitches
• chains
• single crochet
• half double crochet
• magic ring
• increases and decreases
