This baby dragon is cute snuggled in his shell, but he’s even cuter with his dragon pals in contrasting colors! He is easy to make, uses only a little yarn, and requires no sewing other than the mouth embroidery. Directions include both dragon and eggshell.

Materials:
Worsted-weight yarn in white and your choice of colors for the wings and body
Fiberfill or stuffing of your choice
Two 6mm plastic animal eyes (colored eyes with pupils are best; solid black also works)
Black embroidery thread
Size G/6 (4mm) crochet hook
Yarn needle
Embroidery needle

Finished size: dragon is about 2” long, egg is 3”

Pattern stitches: single crochet

Skill level: Advanced beginner with knowledge of crocheting in the round, increasing and decreasing, and color changes (if multiple colors are desired). Photo tutorial provided for the ear section.
