Baby Fluffy Tribble
Gauge really doesn’t matter on this project; tribbles come in all sizes! If you crochet looser, you’ll have a bigger tribble. If you crochet tighter, you’ll have a larger tribble. Either way, it’s a tribble! And it will love you.
About yarns: You can use any eyelash or fuzzy yarn you want! My first tribble used two strands of Yarn Bee Wild Child, and the result was a blended, tonal look. (One strand was a solid, the other was two toned.) My test tribble for this pattern (the red and brown one) used two different yarns: Lion Brand Fun Fur and Wild Child. The Fun Fur is longer, so it really took over; the brown yarn recedes, producing an undercoat. I just finished a tribble that uses two strands of Fun Fur, and it was a nightmare! The longer, unruly eyelashes tend to tangle horribly! But it’s still cute as can be.
If you want to try all sorts of weird novelty yarn combinations, go for it! I would love to see the results.
