This baby toy is inspired by a Lion Brand Bunny Blanket Buddy toy pattern. I simplified it a bit and it has become my go-to baby gift. This variation is a nice gift for any expecting Star Wars fans. It knits up in just a few hours and it’s great for a novice knitter! The gauge and yarn aren’t especially important but since this is intended for small children I recommend a super wash!

Don’t be alarmed if this is your first time switching colors. This is very forgiving! You can use whatever method you prefer, but I just knitted both colors together for the last stitch before the color change occurred, then continued with just a single color. When I reached that two-color stitch again I would again knit with both, then drop the one I didn’t need. The join for the arms will be hidden inside the knot so don’t worry if it doesn’t look perfect!
