This is a plant your own baby groot pattern.
Gauge doesn’t matter too much as long as the stuffing doesn’t poke through the stitches. It is worked on two sizes of needles rather than using decreases for the narrowing of his trunk. The barky-bits on his head are picked up and knitted and my directions are just there because that’s how I wanted them to look. If you want your groot to have a different assortment of head-bumbs/bark/ridges/crown feel free to pickup and knit however your heart desires.
In addition to groot colored yarn and leaf colored yarn you will need:
one pipe cleaner (or fine gauge wire.)
two safety eyes
black embroidery floss or yarn
foam floral block
small white plant pot
floral moss/reindeer moss
