This pattern is designed to fit babies age 6-18 months. It will start out as a long dress, and get shorter and more like a shirt as they grow. Because it is sleeveless, it continues to fit well.

I’m right handed. If you are left handed, you might have to interpret some of these directions for your knitting style.

If you are using medium to large buttons, you will have to knit a gauge swatch to figure out how big to make your buttonhole. My buttonholes are for small buttons.
