This is a recipe-style pattern, assuming a basic understanding of knitting terms and abbreviations.

Gauge is an estimate, as I have already given away the hat. Gauge is given for stockinette stitch worked on larger needles.

Yardage is also an estimate.

The pattern is fairly simple and could easily be sized up for larger infant heads, as well as children and adults. This pattern does not include such sizing.
